Redwing is a charming, attractive, 3 bedroom holiday house in the
popular village of Instow.
It has outstanding views over the estuary from the front of the property
and overlooks the Devonshire countryside from back of the house and
garden.
The beach and village, with its local shop/deli, pubs and restaurants, is
a 5 minute level walk. The house is located on the main route into the
village.
Redwing has been refurbished to a high standard combining its attractive,
period features with contemporary, practical living.
The Victorian terraced cottage has 3 bedrooms that can comfortably sleep
seven people.
UPSTAIRS
The master bedroom with its stunning views over the sailing club and
estuary has a luxurious king-sized oak-framed bed, a pretty Victorian
fireplace and plenty of built-in storage space. The stylish, tiled
en-suite shower room has a shower with a fixed and flexible head,
traditional cast-iron radiator/towel rail and basin with cupboard below.
The second bedroom has comfortable 6ft long twin divan beds (these can be
fixed together to make a Superking double bed if preferred) and views over
the garden and countryside at the back of the house.
The third bedroom, with views over the garden, sleeps 3 with a single
divan bed and a full-size wooden bunk bed.
The family bathroom is tiled with chrome ladder towel rail and includes a
separate electric shower over the bath.
DOWNSTAIRS
Downstairs there is a separate sitting room with an attractive window seat
overlooking the estuary and small, front garden. It has an attractive
Victorian fireplace, television, video/DVD and CD player.
The dining room has a pine farmhouse table which seats 6-8 people. This
leads into the kitchen which is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, gas
hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble
dryer. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.
The back door leads out into the garden with a lawned area, gas bbq, shed
for bike storage/wetsuits/surfboards, garden table and chairs.
The house is called Redwing, after the beautiful, wooden racing dinghy
that was prevalent on the estuary during the 1960's.
