MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 5th 1895 MEETING OF INSTOW PARISH COUNCIL

February 5th 1895

At a meeting held this day in the vestry room at 6-30 o'clock p.m. to consider whether any steps can be taken to expedite the drainage works approved by the Rural Sanitary Authority.

Present. Messrs. Bellow, J Easterbrook, H.A. Easterbrook, Fulton, Joslin, Lock, Nation.

The Minutes of the last meeting were read & signed. Proposed by Mr J Easterbrook & seconded by Mr W A Easterbrook that inasmuch as the prosperity of a considerate portion of Instow depended on the business of lodging houses not being interfered with it would be most desirable that any drainage along the Quay should be completed before the season commences or deferred until after that period. And that Mr Gorton the District Councillor be asked to convey this opinion to the District Council. Carried unanimously.

Proposed by Mr W A Easterbrook seconded by Mr Nation that the Meetings of the Council be held either on Wednesdays or Thursday evenings. Carried unanimously.
