October 20th 1897
A meeting of the Parish Council was held in the vestry room at 7pm.
Present. Messrs W.H.Lock, M. Winter, J. Joslin W.A, Easterbrook, J
Easterbrook, A. Pidler and W.H.F. Pidler.
The minutes of the previous council meeting were read and approved.
It was moved by Major Winter seconded by Mr A. Pidler that Mollands A/C for
attendance at the flushing tank and cleaning gully traps for the year ending
Sept.29th be paid £1-5-0
The Clerk was instructed to send the following letter to Mr Wainwright.

Dear Sir
I am directed by the Parish Council to express their thanks to you for your
kindness in deciphering certain old documents found in the Parish Chest. The
information which the documents give is very interesting.

The Clerk was also instructed to see Molland and ask him whether he would
undertake the care of the traps of the new Lane End drainage for the extra sum
of 5/- per annum.
