A meeting of the Parish Council was held in the vestry room at 7pm to consider
a communication from the District Council respecting Technical Education.
Present Mr W.H. Lock in the chair, Major Winter, Messrs, J. Easterbrook, A.
Pidler, W.H.F. Pidler, W.A. Easterbrook and W.W. Turner
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Chairman having read a circular from the District Council giving a list of
subjects to select from.
It was resolved that the Clerk see Mrs Hutton who took so great an interest in
the cooking class last year and ask her to undertake the duties of secretary
and to get other ladies to assist. The subject chosen being dressmaking.
The following bills were presented and cheques were drawn for the amounts viz.
Mr J.E. Shackson. Work done 1-7 -0
.. W.A. Toller. Election expenses. 13-0
.. J.P. England. Audit & receipts, stamps etc 1- 3-0
Major Winter was requested to see the Rev S.C. Haines and ask that the tithe
map be given to the custody of the Parish Council.
