August 9th 1898
A meeting of the Parish Council was held in the vestry room at 7-15pm. Present
Mr W.H. Lock in the chair, Major Winter, Messrs Anstey, W.A. Easterbrook, J
Easterbrook, C. Pidler, M. Pidler, Turner & Topham District Councillor.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Proposed by Mr C. Pidler seconded by Mr. W.A. Easterbrook that the notice
boards be affixed subject to consent of A. R. Christie Esq. And Mr Topham was
requested to again write Mr Christie on the subject.
The following tenders were opened for the taking down and rebuilding a wall at
the recreation ground.
Mr J.D. Pidler 3/9 per perch. Mr J.S. Shackson 3/6 per perch and on the motion
of Mr C. Pidler Mr Shackson's tender was accepted
