MINUTES OF THE DECEMBER 14th 1899 MEETING OF INSTOW PARISH COUNCIL


A meeting of the Parish Council was held in the vestry room at 7pm to arrange for the distribution of Joan Tuckers Charity and other business. Present Mr W.H. Lock in the chair, Major Winter, Messrs Joslin, J Easterbrook A. Pidler, C. Pidler and W. Pidler.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and signed.

The list of persons who received the Joan Tucker's Charity Money last year was produced and revised. It was resolved on the motion of Mr A. Pidler seconded by Major Winter that the list of persons entitled to receive the same this year 29 in number should be placed at the church and chapel doors and the money be distributed by the Clerk at the vestry room in sums os 1s - 8d each, a cheque was drawn
for the amount of £2-8-4.

The following bills were presented and cheques ordered to be drawn

R. Ridd. Cleaning dykes 10 - 0
J Pickard. Work Done 2 - 3 - 6

The following letter was read from Mr Nation tenant of the recreation field:-

The recreation field was flooded last winter and had but very little keep their summer shall be pleased if you will kindly allow me something off the rent.

It was resolved that the council do not feel that they have any power to make a temporary reduction and they regret that he has suffered loss.

It was proposed by Major winter seconded by Mr C. Pidler that Mr J. Patch be elected in the room of Mr W. Turner resigned. Carried unanimously.
