Dear Sir

At a recent meeting of the Parish Council it was reported that the road from the bottom of the cricket field to the railway crossing as to the repair of which I had some correspondence with you 12 months ago is not in passable condition and I am directed by the Parish Council to ask you to have the ruts filled in so as to make the road passable to vehicles.

It was also mentioned at the meeting that the road from Venn Lane to the allotment field is in places so covered with water that traffic cannot conveniently pass over it.

During the last few months great injury has been caused in the allotment field and recreation ground by the influx of salt water which appears to come there owing to defects in the flood hatch and culvert in the outer boundary of your marsh.

I am directed by the Parish Council to ask that you will kindly have the defect attended to and thus prevent the injury which is now being caused.

I am Sir
Your obedient Servant
J.P. England
A.L. Christie Esq. Clerk to the Parish Council
