A meeting of the Parish Council was held in the vestry room at 7pm. Present
Major Winter in the chair, Messrs W.A. Easterbrook, A. Pidler. J. Easterbrook,
and C. Pidler.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and signed.
The following letter was read from the Clerk to the District Council:-
Barnstaple 13th October 1900
Dear Sir
Sewer, Quay Road Instow
I am directed by the District Council to send for the consideration of the
Instow Parish Council plans and specifications for the above work. The
approximate cost will be £40.
Flushing Tank Lane End
I also enclose for the consideration of your council plans and specifications
for the above work. Mr Thorne estimates the cost at £26. I shall be glad to
hear from you with remarks or suggestions your council may desire to offer
thereon.

The clerk was directed to send the following reply:-

Dear Sir
Sewer Quay Road, & Flushing Tank Lane End
I have laid your letter of 13th inst together with the plans and estimates
enclosed before the Parish Council and am directed to say that they have no
suggestions to offer but would leave themselves in the hands of the District
Council

The following re-assessments were agreed upon:-
Mrs Gregory's property at Marsh new buildings being erected Gross Rental £6 -
Rateable Value £5
Mr W. A. Easterbrook new Inn reduced to GR £23.10 R.V. £19
It was proposed by Mr C. Pidler seconded by Mr A. Pidler that the vestry room
is not used as a lumber room. (carried)
